Portlandia is leaving Netflix in June 2021. When is Portlandia leaving?

Portlandia, starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, is a hilarious show about quirky adults living in a quirky town. Funny and relatable, the series received tons of critical and audience praise, getting a Rotten Tomatoes critic score of 94% and an audience score of 82% for its first season in 2011.

The series had a great run of eight seasons over the next seven years on the cable network IFC, during which it was nominated for plenty of awards, including four consecutive Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series.

Saying farewell to this show in 2018 wasn’t easy for fans, and unfortunately they’ll have to say goodbye again as Portlandia is leaving Netflix next month.

The last day to watch Portlandia on Netflix is June 9th, 2021. After this date, all eight seasons will be removed from the streaming platform.

If you’re new to the show or simply want to rewatch from the beginning, getting through every season before June 9th might be close to impossible—but don’t worry, there are a few other places where you can stream this comedy series.

With premium subscriptions, you can stream the series on Apple TV, Sling TV (only four seasons available), and YouTube TV. Additionally, if you would rather purchase each season, you can do so with Amazon Prime Video.

It’s always unfortunate to see a show be taken off of Netflix, but thankfully, there’s still time to cherish Portlandia one last time before it drops off the streaming service’s roster.

However, once Portlandia leaves in a few weeks, viewers can check out a wide variety of Netflix shows similar to it—such as Billy on the StreetChappelle’s Show, Community, and Arrested Development—to mend your broken heart.
