Does Abuelita die in On My Block season 4?

On My Block season 4 is well on its way to becoming the biggest Netflix release of October 2021 so far. If Squid Game wasn’t a thing, On My Block would be on its way to becoming the biggest show on Netflix right now.

Sadly, yes, Abuelita passes away from cancer in On My Block season 4. We get a few great scenes with Jamal, Ruby, and Abuelita before she dies.

We learn that after Ruby and everyone go to Prom, Abuelita dies. But, her story does not end there. In fact, she leaves a little something for Ruby and his friends.

That would be one Abuelita!

As you will recall, Abuelita was one of the last people we see around the RollerWorld Money in season 3 when she helps Oscar. As it turns out, Abuelita got the money, and she’s been hiding it for all this time.

She gives one last gift to Ruby and his friends. At the very end of the series, Ruby shows his friends the map that Abuelita left them to the RollerWorld Money. Well played, Abuelita. She was not the person I expected to have the cash!

Sadly, Abuelita isn’t the only person who dies in On My Block season 4.
