Claudia Schiffer is a German model, actress, and fashion designer who gained worldwide recognition in the 1990s as one of the top supermodels in the fashion industry. Schiffer was born in Rheinberg, Germany, and began her modeling career at the young age of 17, after being spotted by a modeling agency while dancing at a nightclub in Düsseldorf. Her breakthrough came in 1989 when she was chosen to be the face of Chanel, a collaboration that would continue for over a decade. She also worked with other fashion houses such as Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and Yves Saint Laurent.
Apart from her successful modeling career, Schiffer has also dabbled in acting, starring in films such as “Love Actually” and “Zoolander” with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. She has also made appearances on television shows, including “Absolutely Fabulous” and “Germany’s Next Top Model”.
Schiffer is also known for her collaborations with other artists and celebrities, including George Michael, who featured her in his music video “Freedom ’90”, and David Copperfield, whom she dated for several years in the 1990s.
