Are any Star Wars shows on Netflix? Where to watch Star Wars shows

The Bad Batch, a Star Wars animated series focused on Clone Force 99 who made their debut in The Clone Wars, wrapped its first season Friday, August 13. The series, which is a part of a growing roster of Star Wars shows, has been the talk of fandom since its premiere on May 4, Star Wars Day.

Though that’s not surprising considering the franchise has shaped pop culture since the ’70s. Each new movie, show, or book finds its place in the cultural lexicon even if they all don’t pop into mainstream conversation.

This latest addition to the franchise is no exception to that rule. In fact, it’s added to the lore of the Star Wars universe, providing fans and newcomers with the history of how stormtroopers transitioned from a force dominated by clones to rank-and-file human soldiers.

The Bad Batch was renewed for a second season which will premiere in 2022, making the series one of a handful of Star Wars shows scheduled for release next year. The others include The Mandalorian season 3 and the first season of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

But when it comes to the streaming home of Star Wars projects, past and present, where can viewers watch these shows online? Here’s what we know!

At one point, Netflix was the go-to streaming site to watch the animated series The Clone Wars which covered Anakin Skywalker’s rise in the Jedi ranks to his transition to the dark side of the force. However, that time has passed and there is now a singular streaming home for all of Lucasfilm’s projects.

Disney+ is where you can find past and current films and shows in the Star Wars universe. Lucasfilm is owned by Disney which means that any new project in the works will find its home on their streaming platform exclusively.
